Hello Everyone. It has been a while since my last letter. There have been several things going on since then. We had the OK Limited Championship at Indian Territories’ range the last weekend of August. Charles Bradley is the 1999 OK Limited State Champion. It was a good match with lots of challenges. I don’t think I have shot at so much steel in a single match before. I sure did miss that dot sight. I had a good time and I hope everyone else did also.
The OK Open State match has had some problems getting off the ground. Plans have been finalized and we are going to have the match at OKC Gun Club Action Pistol’s range in Arcadia. This is just outside of Edmond OK. Date for the match is NOVEMBER 7. I know this is quick, but all the problems have been worked out now. Calvin Rogers is the match director again this year. I have seen the courses and it looks to be a fun and fast match. Club Presidents have a copy of the entry form. It will also be available on our web page. If you will pre-register for the match it will help the stats officer get everything set up in the computer, but entries will be accepted the morning of the match. The important think is for everyone to come and play. Start time will be 10:00. For more information give Calvin a call @ 405-341-1132. The club at Temple is having a HoseFest match later this month. They want to " use the bottom half of the magazines" on those high cap pistols. There will be at least 6 stages and a cash payback to all. Cost for the match will be $30. They are saying "break out the big sticks, fresh batteries, and add an extra ammo pouch to the side of your belt". I don’t know how many rounds this will be, but it sounds like fun to me. I don’t care whom you vote for, but would encourage you to vote for the person you feel will do the best job for you and the USPSA.
